Vantage Points is pleased to present Haptic Ephemera, a multimedia group exhibition featuring thirteen artists exploring the nature of memory through material processing.
Jean Piaget’s work on memory and intelligence positions memory not as a passive recording of events, but as an active process through which individuals construct an understanding of experience. Collectively, the artists engage the ephemeral through tactile and process-based approaches—layering, weaving, moulding, and imprinting—rendering and restructuring memory; whether of self, environment, or the material itself, through acts of making and material play.
