Exhibit Your Work: The Post Office Show

Service Description

In this class you will learn how to plan, curate, organize and show your work in exhibition at The Post Office (an exhibition space in in Upstate NY). This 16 week long class will focus on the practical knowledge and production skills needed to put together a group exhibition. Class time will be spent discussing practical (how to put together an exhibition and “finish” your work) as well as theoretical concerns (how to contextualize a show and develop a concept). The course will culminate in a class exhibition proposal and an exhibition in late 2024/Jan 2025 open only to those enrolled in the class. We will cover, concept development installation concerns, drafting a press releases and promotional projects. Proposals will be workshopped with critical feedback as well as support for implementing, funding and putting your exhibition ideas into the world. Critiques and feedback will be included as needed.
